    Omaha Art & History Tour

    Tuesday, September 10th

Travel back in time to the Durham Museum in Union Station. Beautiful architecture blends with memories of a time gone by at this venue which offers a fascinating look at the history of the region. Its affiliation with the Smithsonian Institute and strong ties to the Library of Congress, National Archives, and the Field Museum make this a "must see" destination. After a hearty lunch at a local pub in Omaha, we depart for the Joslyn Castle, Gardens, and newly renovated Art Museum. Many of the new exhibits are hundreds if not thousands of years old. After two years of expansion, it will be a remarkable afternoon experience and celebrating Art.

Get Your Kicks on Route 66 Tour

    Sunday, Sept 22 - Sat, Sept 28

Coined "The Mother Road" in "The Grapes of Wrath," Route 66 stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles and is now a tourist destination for travelers worldwide.

We start our journey in Springfield, MO, known as the "Birthplace of Route 66." You'll be in awe when we pull into the Route 66 Rail Haven Motel, the oldest Best Western in the country. Our time in Springfield includes a step-on guided tour with stops at the classic car museum and Route 66 Museum, Red's Giant Hamberg, Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, and Fantastic Caverns.

We travel north on Route 66 and stop at many of the quirky sites that make this highway famous. We spend two nights at the Westin downtown St. Louis, visiting the Gateway Arch and taking a river cruise on the Mississippi.

We wind our way north again on Route 66 until we arrive in Springfield, IL. Once there, we have a full day Route 66 Tour planned and will also watch vintage cars parade into the downtown area for a 3-day Route 66 festival. On the last day of our adventure, we visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum before traveling up the route to wave goodbye to the Bunyon Giant in Atlanta!

RESERVE YOUR SPOT NOW with a $600 Deposit 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS – Includes motorcoach transportation, overnight lodging, 6 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 5 dinners, select tours and river cruise.

    The Amish Experience Tour

    Tuesday, Oct 8 - Wed, Oct 9

Our day in Kalona starts with a stop at the Welcome Center for Streussel and coffee. We will hear a presentation on "What is the difference between the Amish and the Mennonite people" by Floyd Yutzy. We tour the Amana Museum and do a little shopping before departing for lunch at a Mennonite Home. Next we divide into two groups and tour a Goat Farm and Ebike manufacturer. (Many Amish communities are allowed to ride ebikes.) A tour of a Buggy Shop and Stringtown Grocers follows before departing for Amana.

Our overnight accommodations will be at the brand new Hotel Millwright, which pays homage to the Amana's woolen mills of the past. The next morning we tour this unique hotel and have plenty of time to browse and shop afterwards. Our lunch that day will be served at the Price Creek Event Center Dinner Theatre where we will see a first person Grant Wood presentation with Q&A.

If the timing is right... we will have a beautiful view of fall foliage as we travel on our Amish Experience Tour.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT NOW with a $150 Deposit 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT – Includes motorcoach transportation, overnight lodging, 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, all tours and performance.
