    FITNESS By Design Studio keeps you moving!

    Participating in a group fitness class is one of the most enjoyable and effective ways to get fit! All fitness levels are welcome and various intensity levels are shown for every exercise. Class sizes average at no more than 8 clients, so you'll always receive plenty of personal attention and instruction. 

    We offer Core, Strength Training, Functional Flexibility, and Pietra classes. Once we meet for a complimentary consultation, we'll help you get started in on your journey.

    Underground Railroad Tour

    Tour the Historic Jordan House MuseumThe Underground Railroad was neither underground nor a railroad, but a network of loosely connected safe havens for enslaved people on their journey to freedom. Join us as we learn about this historic journey and how Iowans played a crucial role to its success. We will visit the Jordan House in West Des Moines, the Hitchcock House in Lewis, and the Todd House in Tabor. You'll enjoy a catered group lunch at the Congregational Church.

    Union Station Kansas City | Visit KCWe'll travel to Kansas City on this overnight tour to experience museums, music and history. You'll enjoy a BBQ lunch, tour the American Jazz Museum and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. You'll spend the night at the beautiful SpringHill Suites. Shop around the famous Country Club Plaza before our group dinner. Then you may choose to catch a jazz show or ride the KC Wheel, a 150-foot observation wheel to enjoy a one-of-a-kind view. Our final day includes a tour of the WWI Memorial Museum, lunch and a walking tour of Union Station. You can choose between visiting the Hallmark Visitors Center or the Money Museum before heading home.

    Westward Bound Nebraska Tour

    Tuesday, June 17th - Thursday, June 19th 


    Our journey west throughout Nebraskaland takes us to Grand Island where we are welcomed at the Coney Island Room with a delicious lunch. After lunch, we tour the Stuhr Museum, dedicated to preserving the legacy of the late 19th century Pioneers who settled the plains of central Nebraska. On Tuesday evening, you'll enjoy a branding style dinner at the Hoffman Ranch, featuring a Nebraska prime rib dip and homemade pie. We'll complete the day with a Hoffman Ranch Tour before checking in to the Roadside Inn.

    Ride The Rails Tour

    Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad - WikipediaWe kick off this trip with a tour of the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum in Boone, a beautiful 9,000 sq. ft. facility featuring a research library, theater and displays with memorabilia from all eras of railroading in Iowa. Next up is Mamie Doud Eisenhower's birthplace, where you'll find an abundance of historical information about the 34th First Lady. The main event includes a delicious lunch in an actual dining car as you travel through the Des Moines River Valley in climate controlled comfort aboard a historic train on the Scenic Valley Railway. One last stop on the way home - always a crowd pleaser - a carousel ride in Story City.

    Up, Up & Away: Indianola Tour

    Join us while we tour the highlights of Indianola, home to the National Balloon Classic. Start the day with a tour of the National Balloon Museum followed by the Warren County Historical Museum. We'll head to Sesquicentennial Park to walk and stretch before enjoying lunch at the Local Vine. After lunch, local Milk & Honey Orchard will be conducting a honey tasting event, showcasing different honeys from their farm. To end the day, we head to Middlebrook Mercantile in Cumming, Iowa for shopping and an agricultural presentation.
